Glossary “belt cover” Definition:
1). Nylon cover positioned over the belts in a tire that helps to hold the tire together at high speed, and provides longer tire life. 2). A rayon, cotton, or nylon cover to protect the interior of a drive belt from the environment and absorb the wear that occurs at the belt-sheave interface. 3). Cover(s) used to protect the timing belt.
