Glossary “secondary windings” Definition:
Smaller windings within the center of coil primary windings made up of several thousand turns of very small insulated wire.

Glossary “secondary winding” Definition:
Windings of the ignition coil which supplies high voltage to the spark plug

Glossary “secondary vibration” Definition:
A relatively weak, high-frequency vibration. It is caused by the upward and downward force of the piston due to the rod-to-stroke ratio.

The brake shoe located toward the rear of the vehicle, in a dual-servo drum brake, having a longer and thicker lining, and providing most of the braking force during forward stops.

Rear brake shoe in a drum-brake set that is energized by the primary shoe and increases self-energizing action of the brakes.

High voltage that is available from the coil to fire the spark plug(s).

Emissions system designed to pump fresh air into the exhaust stream to reduce HC and CO emissions

Air that is pumped to the pollution-control devices to promote chemical reactions that reduce exhaust gas pollutants.
