Glossary “test wheel” Definition:
Controlled procedure, used by the NHTSA to perform laboratory tests for temperature-resistance testing of automotive tires as determined by how long the tire lasts on the test wheel. The ratings are A, B, or C, with an A rating having the best temperature resistance.
